Harbour Health Medical Clinic was established in 2009 as an expansion of a practice established by Dr Madeleine McCarthy in 1988. The practice is located in 1 & 2 Lower Glenageary Road. .
We aim to provide a 21st century comprehensive GP service to our practice population in which we welcome all families, lifestyles and cultures.
We are accepting new patients who have moved to the area. If you wish to join the practice please phone reception (ideally between 12 and 2) for further details. A registration appointment may be required.

Madeleine is a Specialist GP, and Women’s Health specialist with a particular interest in Menopause management. She qualified as a doctor from University College Cork medical school in 1984 having previously been awarded a BSc. She subsequently completed her hospital experience in various teaching hospitals in Cork and Dublin completing her GP training in the Trinity College GP Training Scheme. She became a member of the Irish College of GPs and the Royal College of GPs in 1988.
Since then she has completed further training in Menopause Management in Birmingham Women’s Hospital. Other recent courses have included Occupational Health, Diabetes and Sexually Transmitted Infections. She has worked in Continuing Medical Education as a tutor to other GPs and was a GP trainer for over 20 years. She has also become a family planning tutor. Her areas of special interest include Menopause, Family Planning, Sexual Health, Occupational Health, Travel Health and Diabetes.
Ross is a Specialist GP. With over 10 years of experience looking after families and individuals, Dr Kelly is committed to providing high-quality, continuous care to our community. He completed his medical degree from UCD in 2010 , began his formal GP training in 2011 and qualified as a specialist general practitioner in 2015.
Dr Kelly enjoys the full spectrum of family medicine, from treating acute illnesses to managing complex chronic conditions. He is a firm believer in the power of preventative healthcare, focusing on early intervention and long-term wellness.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Kelly is a GP Trainer, actively involved in mentoring and educating the next generation of general practitioners.
