Specialist GP

Madeleine is a specialist GP, a Woman Health specialist with a particular interest in Menopause management and a GP Trainer (of younger GPs) She qualified as a doctor from University College Cork medical school in 1984 having previously been awarded a BSc. She subsequently completed her hospital experience in various teaching hospitals in Cork and Dublin completing her GP training in the Trinity College GP Training Scheme. She became a member of the Irish College of GPs and the Royal College of GPs in 1988. 

Since then she has completed further training in Menopause Management in Birmingham Women’s Hospital. Other recent courses have included Occupational Health,  Diabetes and Sexually Transmitted Infections. She has worked in Continuing Medical Education as a tutor to other GPs and has been a GP trainer for many years. She has also become a family planning tutor. Her areas of special interest include Menopause, Family Planning, Sexual Health, Occupational Health, Travel Health and Diabetes.
